INTRODUCTION

Universal multifrequency remote control garage door opener transmitter suitable for gates, garage doors, barriers.

Each button can be managed in indipendently way: it means that it's possibile to store on button 1 the code produce by HORMANN at 868.350MHz, on button 2 MARANTEC at 433.92 MHz, and on button 3 GENIE at 390MHz, or every combination of the remote transmitters inside the compatibility table below.

Please note that the band 286-400MHz cannot be used in European Community.

Due to the PLL synthesis with crystal reference, this transmitter provide an excellent frequency stability, in respect to other devices which use free-running oscillator.

It's very useful to duplicate original remote transmitters reducing costs: despite the potentials, PANDIS is less expensive than original devices,  and also permit to integrate several differenct remotes (operating in the same or different frequency as well) into a singole remote control.

The easy programming, the wide variety of remote transmitters managed and the low cost, make this product  appreciated.

Learning mode
 Original code is learned automatically, notifying the result trhough the LED inside:
3 blinks => code learned
6 blinks => rolling code: it is not assured that it works, depending by the receiver used
9 blinks => code that cannot be managed due to limitations on the receiver
Frequency learning

2 possibilities:
* manual, pressing button N times to define the frequency
* automatic: in this way the device start to scan the band 286-361 and 384-400 MHz to recognize the exact frequency of the original remote transmitter
Storage

Each code is stored into non-volatile memory, so it is retained during battery replacement
Low battery detection

Battery voltage is controlled before every transmission, preserving errors in transmissions. Battery status is notified using LED while transmitting:
LED blinks => battery OK
LED blinks then become always ON => battery should be replaced soon
LED always ON => battery LOW => transmission is impossible
Transmission timeout

This remote is programmed to switch transmission OFF after 20 seconds a key is pressed, to avoid battery discharge if a key is pressed accidentally. If you need to transmit a code for more than 20 seconds, release and press the key.

LEARNING INSTRUCTIONSPANDIS

Two kinds of operation can be used to learn frequency and code transmitted by the original device.

MANUAL FREQUENCY

  1. Press together buttons 1 and 3 for approximately 3 seconds, until LED starts to flash quickly.

  2. Release all buttons.

  3. Press the button (where you wish to duplicate the original remote control) the amount of times that corresponds to your desired frequency (see column N in next table): e.g. to duplicate a remote control at 868.3MHz on button 1, press button 1 twice.

  4. Wait that LED becomes steady ON, hold the original remote control approximately 30cm from PANDIS and start to transmit by pressing and holding the button on your existing remote; during transmission, slowly move the original remote control towards PANDIS

When duplication is complete, the PANDIS LED will flash:

  • 3 times, for a fixed code

  • 6 times, for a rolling code

Note: if the original remote control transmits in a frequency inside the band 286-400MHz which is not specified in the list above (i.e. 292MHz, 305MHz, 312MHz, 318MHz, 340MHz or 360MHz, 418MHz), you need to use the procedure explained below to acquire the correct frequency.

AUTOMATIC FREQUENCY SCAN

  1. Press together buttons 1 and 3 until LED starts to flash quickly
  2. Release all buttons
  3. Press 3 times the button where the code should be learned
  4. Wait that LED becomes steady ON, hold the original remote control approximately 30cm from PANDIS and start to transmit by pressing and holding the button on your existing remote; during transmission, slowly move the original remote control towards PANDIS

In this way the PANDIS starts to receive from 286 MHz and increments its frequency to determine the exact frequency of the original transmitter up to 361MHz, then start scanning from 384MHz to 400MHz, finally some spare frequencies like 418MHz. The time to scan the entire band varies from 5 to 16 seconds: a short blink on the LED notify the restart of scan from the lowest frequency.

Due to the PANDIS high sensitivity, it's possibile that a spurious frequency is learned, instead of the fondamental transmitted frequency.To avoid this behaviour, the original remote should start transmitting at approximately 30-50cm from PANDIS, and every time the LED blinks ON (the scan restart) it should be moved toward PANDIS.

Use the automatic frequency scan procedure only for remote controls that transmit to an unknown frequency, or a frequency which is not managed by the  manual frequency procedure!

Please note that in this way the time taken to learn a code can be long, more than 10 seconds. Also, remote transmitters operating at 433.92 or 868.3 MHz cannot be learned: the MANUAL FREQUENCY operation explained above should be used, in these cases.

LEARNING OTHER KINDS OF REMOTE CONTROL

With the procedure above the received code is checked to  meet all requirements for the known codes. You can store other kinds of code (unknown, so they will not be checked) just following the instructions above pressing together button 1 and 2 instead of 1 and 3.

Relevant changes applied to the firmware and hardware of our remote controls are explained below.

Firmware Rev.3 - state: in production

PANDIS

  • Frequency scan now starts from 286 instead of 290: now original remote transmitters operating at 286-290 MHz can be duplicated
  • Frequency scan now includes 418MHz

ACLUS

 

Common features for PANDIS, ACLUS,

  • Add the support for V2 PHOENIX code, a rolling code but very often the rolling feature is disabled on the receiver
  • Telcoma TANGO2 SLIM: improved code learning
  • Low battery voltage detection: in devices sold before 2009-10-20 there was a fixed voltage threshold below which the device stop transmitting. Now, that threshold was lowered to take into account that the battery voltage is lower with low temperature. Also, a random number is generated and added to the battery voltage to permit the transmission even if the battery voltage is below the threshold. In this way it's easier to detect when the battery should be replaced because, when battery is empty, sometime the remote transmit and sometime it does not (it's needed to press the button 2 or more time to transmit).

Fantastico!!
Prima dovevo girare con 2 radiocomandi diversi, uno per il cancello a 433mhz e l'altro per il basculante a 868mhz.
Ora utilizzo
solo il PANDIS che mi funziona sia per aprire il cancello che il basculante.
